Dignified Ageing: Life at Our Vridha Ashram

The Silent Crisis of Elder Abandonment

In India, a growing number of elderly individuals are being abandoned by their families or left without any support system. Many of them suffer from chronic health conditions, loneliness, and a deep sense of loss. With no social security net, they are forced to fend for themselves on the streets.

SPT's Vridha Ashram Initiative

Our Vridha Ashram provides a dignified home for elderly individuals who have no family support. Residents receive three meals a day, regular medical checkups, access to medicines, comfortable sleeping arrangements, and — most importantly — companionship and a sense of belonging.

Daily Life at the Ashram

Every day at the Vridha Ashram begins with morning exercises, followed by breakfast, group activities, and medical rounds. Residents participate in storytelling sessions, light gardening, and spiritual activities. The atmosphere is one of warmth, respect, and community — a far cry from the isolation many experienced before.

Support Our Elderly

₹2,000 per month covers food, medicine, and care for one elderly resident. Help us give dignity and comfort to those who have spent their lives serving others. Support Our Vridha Ashram
