The Challenge: Education Inequality in Mumbai
Mumbai is home to millions of families living below the poverty line. For many children in these communities, access to quality education remains a distant dream. High school fees, lack of learning materials, and the pressure to contribute to family income force thousands of children out of the classrooms every year. Without education, the cycle of poverty continues across generations.
Our Approach: SPT's Education Support Program
Sarwar Peace Trust's Education Support program was designed to directly address these barriers. We provide completely free after-school tuition, distribute textbooks, notebooks, and stationery, and even cover school fees for the most vulnerable students. Our volunteer teachers — trained educators passionate about making a difference — offer individualised attention to each student, ensuring no child is left behind.
Impact on the Ground
Since its inception, the program has enrolled over 300 children across three learning centres in Mumbai. Many of our students have improved their grades significantly, with several achieving top positions in their class. Beyond academics, we focus on life skills, digital literacy, and career counselling for older students, preparing them for a self-sufficient future.
How You Can Help
Your support enables us to keep our centres running and expand to more communities. A donation of just ₹1,000 provides a child with education supplies for an entire semester. Every contribution, no matter how small, creates a ripple effect of positive change. Support Education
